A glimpse of the World Congress 2017

Social educators from 24 countries were gathered on 10-12 April 2017 at AIEJI’s World Congress in Brazil. 600 social educators were proud to celebrate that they have #thefinestjobintheworld. The motto of the congress was I am because we are.

At the congress social educators from all over the world shared their experiences, stories, good examples – and the difference they make for marginalised people.

Benny Andersen was re-elected as the president of AIEJI.

“Shoulder to shoulder, we stand together here and the goal is to make the world a better place. And the world needs that! The world needs us.” The president completed his speech with this message: “When you get up in the morning and look at yourselves in the mirror, then say to yourselves, or shout to yourselves – Yes, I have the finest job in the world” – and everybody shouted together!
