Uruguay preparing for AIEJI World Congress 2013

In Uruguay, a larger group of 17 social educators are determined to participate in AIEJI World Congress 2013. The initiative to start the group came from Claudio Desanti Sanchez, Luciana Salles, Nicolas Marrero and Veronica Bentancor who all participated in the World Congress 2009 in Copenhagen. Claudio explains that meeting friends and colleagues from all over the world has meant a lot to all of them.

Participating in the World Congress 2009 in Copenhagen and the World Congress 2005 in Montevideo were such great experiences that Claudio and his friends decided to form a group with the aim of collecting enough money to go to Luxembourg in 2013. The group had their first meeting in April and now meet every last Sunday of the month. In order to raise funds they produce and sell hair bands and organise parties and all try and save as much money as possible.

The ambitions and efforts of the group are admirable – fingers crossed we will see them in Luxembourg 2013!
